Profile
Professor Liu Quanguo’s research interests focus on Translation Theory and Practice, English Pedagogy, Multilingual Education and Multilingual Acquisition. He is leading a Major Project of National Social Science Fund as the Chief Expert at present, and he has accomplished a General Project of National Social Science Fund, a Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project of the Ministry of Education, a National Basic Education Foreign Language Teaching Research Funding Project, etc., and he has participated in more than 20 research projects at all levels. He articles have appeared in Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Foreign Language Education, Foreign Language World, Foreign Languages and Literature, Journal of Literature, Languages and Linguistics, Journal of Education and Practice, Ethnic Education Research, Journal of Southwest University, Journal of Tibet University, China Social Sciences Today, Contemporary Education and Culture, Journal of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Journal of Jiangsu Higher Education and other journals, and relevant research articles have been included in the collection published by Multilingual Matters, Oxford University Press and other publishing houses. Liu also has published several monographs, namely, Lin Yutang’s Translation: Philosophies, Theories & Practices, A Study on Trilingual Education of Tibetan-Chinese-English, A Study on Bilingual Education in Tibet Autonomous Region, Trilingual Education and Trilingual Teaching and A Study on Code-switching in the Classroom of Foreign Language Teachers in a Trilingual Environment.
